Change is on the Horizon

I’m writing to you on a special day: We’re at a powerful peak in the astrological calendar called the Lion’s Gate Portal. Running from July 26 to August 12, the Lion’s Gate Portal is a time to elevate consciousness and enhance spiritual growth and manifestation. I was supposed to go to a meditation and sound bath tonight to learn more about this auspicious occasion, but it was moved to Sunday, thanks to Hurricane Debby. Debby opened up my whole day and gave me time to share my exciting plans for my future. To celebrate this serendipitous day, I also put on one of my favorite songs (Irene Cara’s What a Feeling) and did a little dancing in the rain.
Some happy and sad things are happening that will definitely stir up new energy in my life. Samantha Pridgen, who I have worked with for 27 years at Body Elemental, is moving to Oregon on Labor Day. She will keep Body Elemental open until the end of the year.
What’s next?
I will open a new business for healing in the same space! Two things keep me from being sad about Samantha leaving: She’s moving back to the West Coast, where she feels more at home, and my anticipation of what I will create. I am so lucky that my husband, David Spratte of Halo 22, has taken me on as a client to help shape my business and make my dreams come true.
I haven’t always wanted my own business. For so many years, I was happy to be just an independent contractor with Body Elemental. Samantha took excellent care of me and helped make me the successful massage therapist that I am today. We make an awesome team and will be best buds forever!
Since my massage therapy practice has picked up and I need more time to focus on business, I ended my 11 years of teaching Nia at the Cary Senior Center. I danced with so many wonderful students during my time there! I hope I get to dance with y’all again sometime in my drop-in classes in Raleigh.
