Nia Classes Return to the YMCA!
After 7 months of teaching Nia only on Zoom, I am finally ready to share actual space with my students. We will have a good bit of space between us and be dancing outside. For right now, this class is only open to members of YMCA of the Triangle members. My Zoom classes continue to be an awesome, convenient, safe way to stay connected to many of my students, especially those far away. I am happy to add another way to enjoy Nia!
Teaching a regular class outside will be new territory for me. I have taught demo classes outdoors and it has been fabulous but those have been once a year. We will see how mother nature cooperates. The class is in the parking lot of the Alexander YMCA so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring a mat if you have one. The class will be on Mondays from 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. (starting this Monday October 5) so you might want sunglasses, sunblock, or a hat just in case. I will use cones to help mark safe distances between us.
Sign up on the Y mobile app no sooner than 48 hours before class. You will need to go into the Y with your mask on to scan your card. Once you find your spot outside you don’t have to wear a mask.
I am excited to see our wonderful Y community and dance together again! We will play with my Fall into Cadence routine for the first couple weeks then get ready to dress up for Halloween on the 26th.
Love these pictures from last year. What a fun time!
